A new updated hiking map for the Mani area from 2021, at a scale of 1:30,000. The map will guide you through the dry section of the peninsula known as "Mésa Mani" and up to Cape Tainaro or Cabo Matapa.

An unforgettable hike at the southernmost point of the Peloponnese, which was considered in ancient times the gateway to the underworld. Plutarch and Pausanias mention a small cave that served as a necromanteion.

The Mani is an area of great historical significance for modern Greece, while at the same time a whole world of exploration, dotted with archaeological sites, Byzantine and post-Byzantine ecclesiastical monuments and castles, as well as countless more recent towers and tower houses.

Characteristic monuments of the area include the Dyros cave, the Frankish castle of Passava, and the lighthouse at Cape Tainaro. Once you pass Oitylo or Gytheio, the Mani map will lead you to the microcosms hidden behind the tourist facade.
